Ognoc Wings was started over a passion for the African Grey Congo species.  We believe these animals are a spectacular breed of bird.  We first started in 2002 with a single pet named Mavis.  Little did we know that Mavis would act as the catalyst to a passion for breeding African Greys.  Mavis has acted as an inspiration to us.  She is such a gift.

Our aviaries are currently located in Chandler Arizona.  We have over five years worth of experience.  We breed only two species of bird; African Grey Congo's (Psittacus erithacus) and African Grey Timneh's (Psittacus timneh).  We are very particular in the breeding and the diet of our birds; our birds are restricted to selected breeding seasons every year to prevent over breeding.  Our diet consists of personally selected seeds, pellet, and fresh fruits and vegetables.  We are also very selective on who gets our babies as our breeding output is low with selective breeding seasons we firmly believe that an African Grey baby must go to the proper home. Because we specialize in the African species only, we find that this gives us an advantage into how these wonderful birds act.  We feel that the African birds are very special and make a great addition to any family.  The different species of African birds have similar general personality traits but it is important to remember that each bird will have its own wonderful personality.
